Nylon 12
High dimensional stability with balanced chemical and mechanical performance.
The reference polymer for SLS production. At 50 MPa tensile strength and a 171°C heat deflection temperature under a 0.45 MPa load, it produces rigid, dimensionally stable parts. It resists oil, fuel and most industrial chemicals, making it the default choice for housings, brackets and assembly hardware.

Ductile, fracture-resistant avionics and airframe structures.
A renewably sourced polyamide derived from castor oil. At 40% elongation at break and 71 J/m notched impact strength it is the most ductile of the unreinforced nylons, deforming by stretching rather than fracturing under sudden loads. Preferred for avionics housings, hinged parts and clip-together assemblies exposed to vibration and impact.

Glass-bead reinforced for extreme stiffness and heat resistance.
Glass reinforcement raises rigidity markedly: at 2800 MPa tensile modulus it sits well above unreinforced Nylon 12. Its real advantage shows under load, where a 113°C heat deflection temperature at 1.8 MPa far exceeds Nylon 12 at 87°C. Elongation sits at 4%, so it holds its shape rather than flexing.

Ultra-light with a high strength-to-weight ratio.
Carbon reinforcement makes this the stiffest, strongest powder in the library: 69 MPa tensile strength, 4200 MPa flexural modulus and 110 MPa flexural strength. At 74 J/m impact strength it is not brittle despite its rigidity, and at 188°C it offers the highest heat deflection temperature in the library. Built for structural applications where it can replace metal parts at lower weight.

Shore 90A shock-absorbing, vibration-damping elastomer.
A functional elastomer at 90 Shore A that flexes repeatedly, with 110% elongation at break. Used for seals, bumpers, vibration-damping mounts and flexible hinges. At 39 kN/m tear strength it stands up to abrasion, rebounding where rigid parts would crack.
