Defense & UAV Systems
Avionics housings, internal mounting brackets, radar and sensor protective enclosures, lightweight structural drone components.
High-speed powder bed fusion removes the limits of tooling and subtractive machining, producing complex geometries directly at end-use part quality.
Realize internal channels and complex organic forms that conventional methods cannot produce — with no added support structures required during the build.
Achieve homogeneous, fully dense parts with mechanical strength on the Z axis equal to the X and Y axes, in every direction.
Eliminate expensive, slow metal tooling and move instantly into flexible batch production — from a single unit to 5,000+.
Immersion technology penetrates deep into the polymer pores, delivering custom colour or standard matte black finishes that will not peel, resist scratching, and hold uniform colour consistency across the entire batch.
Geometry draws perfection; material removes the limits.
Choose the material your part actually needs — by operating temperature, impact load, and chemical exposure. Every value comes from the manufacturer technical data sheets.
A balance of rigidity, dimensional stability and chemical resistance.
High impact strength and ductility, from a renewable source.
Glass reinforcement for high rigidity and shape retention under load.
Carbon reinforcement for the stiffest, strongest option in the library.
A flexible elastomer that resists wear and damps vibration.
All five powders on one set of axes. Overlaying the shapes shows directly where each material leads and where it gives ground.
Each profile is scaled against the highest value on that axis. Heat deflection temperature measured at 0.45 MPa. Values are taken from manufacturer technical data sheets and may vary between batches.
Client names and part drawings stay confidential under defense-industry disclosure rules; our capability speaks through the sectors below.
Avionics housings, internal mounting brackets, radar and sensor protective enclosures, lightweight structural drone components.
Topology-optimized lightweight airframe parts, environmental control ducting, and flight-ready cabin fixtures.
Custom intake manifolds, aerodynamic brake ducts, lightweight racing gauge housings, and functional prototypes.
Patient-specific surgical guides, prosthetic and orthotic components, sterilizable laboratory equipment.
End-effector pneumatic grippers, custom robot brackets, inspection fixtures, and conveyor components.
The questions that come up most often at the quote stage, and how the process answers them.
Once you upload your 3D model, our engineering team reviews the geometry for manufacturability and sends the formal technical specification and price to your email address within 24 hours.
STEP, STP, STL, IGES, OBJ and X_T files up to 50 MB. STL and OBJ files are measured in the browser instantly; for the other formats you simply enter the bounding box yourself.
No. There is no tooling cost, so the same process covers 1 to 5,000+ units; as the quantity grows, nesting in the build cake is optimised.
The Formlabs Fuse build volume is 300 × 165 × 165 mm. If your part exceeds it, send the request anyway: our engineering team determines the right approach — including splitting the part and bonding it — and confirms it with the quote.
Continue with Nylon 12. We review your part’s operating temperature, impact load and chemical exposure, then tell you the most suitable thermoplastic along with the quote. Your selection is not binding.
Dimensional tolerance is ±0.15 mm at a layer thickness of 110 or 80 µm. Depending on the finish, roughness ranges from Ra 10–15 µm raw down to Ra 1–3 µm vapor smoothed.
Yes. The CAD files and technical data you share are held under our confidentiality undertaking and are never passed to third parties. On request we sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before quoting.
Yes. Industrial dyeing by immersion drives the pigment into the polymer’s pores, so the colour does not peel, resists scratching and stays uniform across the batch. Alongside standard matte black, we produce in the colour reference you specify.
